Went out on this call for a 1.5 year old Luxaire heat pump that wasn't cooling.
I actually remembered to bring my camera this time so I took some pics. :)
This install was a real train wreck, well you can decide for yourself.
First thing I find is no voltage at the heat pump.

Well there is a pretty good reason why, from Common to ground on the compressor terminal.

It gets better, I put an acid test on it and within five seconds it goes solid yellow.

It is 11:15am and this is the temperature in the shade on the sunny side of the home. :D

The picture starts to become real clear after I go into the basement.

This is a five ton system with no return duct whatsoever only 2- 16 X 20 filter grilles with 1" pleated filters in them pulling free return from wherever it can.
Guess the guy who installed this saw no reason to not decrease the life of the home as well. :pow:
Took a static pressure reading on this screamer, the fan was only on medium speed.
Going off the fan data it was moving somewhere in the neighborhood of 1750 CFM.

Almost forgot to mention they didn't put on the required TEV either. :tard:
