Its pretty hard to be anonymous on the net there, herr doughboy.

Most forums have settings to record the Ips of who is online. H-Talks is pretty short duration, forumwise was typically 5 minutes although I think you can set it longer.

If you are online at a forum, in a hidden mode the administrator know you are online. Most likely the moderators too, I could test that for you if you wanted to.

Other forums set it to a period of a couple hours, it makes the place look busier. Setting it for 24 hours let's someone keep up on exactly who was on their site. In this case the info is being fed to the map and not showing up as 100 people online like at H-Talk.

What it really boils down to is you are not anonymous on the internet. Keep it in mind when you post, chat or send emails.

I am a pretty paranoid guy as of late, and this site is about as safe as it gets.

Actually there is a "referer" that is sent out by your browser than enables these type of scripts to work. Without the "referer" from your browser they are useless. I changed mine in my firefox browser to always read "http://www.kissmy****ingass.com". So that's all they'll see.. (Excuse my french)

I dont know of a way to change the referer in IE. (It may be possible to do it in the registry but I have never tried)

Firefox hasn't let me down yet as far as functionality.
