when servicing multiple buildings like that in proximity, it helps to snag cabinets where you can store and lock things instead of carrying them with you. a wind guy shouldnt need ot carry much but a puffer, a needle gage for the stats, and some bitty screwdrivers/allen wrenches. over time build up your tool library in each locking tool cabinet. for the shrt term, get a fifty dollar handtruck with rubber wheel to carry your chit.A fold down one is nice for carrying lots of tools.
So far, the bag is just what I wanted for building work. Big enough for me to carry the most common valves, heads, R and D acting thermostats and repack kits. ( all Honeywell ) The most common call I get, the unit has been valved off due to leak from the stem. ( seemed to be a common 'fix' for some of our 'techs'...) I carry both 2 and 3 way valve bodies (1/2"). ( Part of the college is the old hospital, both CAV and VAV ) Got tired of waiting for them to get me a calibration kit, so bought one myself. For the other heat calls on splits and package units, grab my other bag, meter and go. Welding up an old 2 wheel hand truck for next summers AC work. ( place for jug, gauges and misc stuff to work on the ground units.)
