Baby Powder?

    Do any of you refer guys use Baby powder? Not just because you want go home smelling gay (cracker). But I mean for sliding insulation on the pipes? It’s good stuff.

    Never heard that Dennis, I'll have to give it a try. I'm usually not sent on big piping jobs though.

    When pulling it over inch and five or two and one 90 it’s not enough.

    Some brands do have more than others.

    In my day Armaflex fit real tight and rubatex was looser than a tidy bar dancer.

    Sure did that was one of the nasty tricks we would pull on each other when one of your coworkers wasn't watching put the tube in their face or the back of their head and blow through it, it left a neat white spot where ever it hit,the back of the head made them look gray

    If anyone still does that I say good for them. The Five piece 90’s and the twelve piece traps I saw did not drip often. Labor intensive though. The key is a good sharp chefs knife and a v type ceramic sharpener.

    I wish we still cared like that. I cut out old systems that were insulated far better than the new stuff we put in.
