I have mutiple flashlites around the house (all mag lite) . Use whatever batteries the supply house has. Usually duracell or rayovac. just found the 3rd flashlight in a coupla months has a 'leaking' battery. This one was a triple 'd' mag. the others were a coupla mini mags. it isnt worth the postage to send them back. they doing something different with batteries? or, should i yank the batteries when not in use? (jah, dumb idea)
Dad would say..... throw all your flashlights away, except one....... maybe you will take better care of it
Check this out, http://www.candlepowerforums.com/ ive been doing some research , im tired of buying the same crap every time.
Dippy has an entire drawer of flashlights..... Call him, I'm sure he will make you a good deal..... If he answers his phone.....
I use one of these...... un-clip from the hat. charge them up and they last for a long time http://www.amazon.com/Nite-Lite-Rechargeable-Sport-Hunting/dp/B001IM2QVU http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/im...p_otherviews_1?ie=UTF8&s=sporting-goods&img=1
http://www.surefire.com/6P-Original Mine is probably 14 years old and still works perfectly. Lithium batteries have a 10 year shelf life or something ridiculous like that.
I use this: http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=8111443&findingMethod=rr Use it for running and work.
Well I lost my mini-mag last month.... I found the damn thing years ago so I really wasn't out anything..except sentimental value.... In the check out at Blowes and right there on the compulsive buyers rack is a Mag-light.... I grabbed one and threw it up there, the only difference seemed to be it was LED.... Here it is... http://www.swps.com/2aa-mini-maglite-led.html WRONG... It has "functions"...I want a friggin flash light.... One twist low light, then high, flash and finally SOS.... What a pain in the ass.. Standing on my head tracing a wire and the damn thing is giving the SOS signal..... Sometimes I HATE technology....
