ok, i have a question in regards to some transformers that have no ground. i think they refer to floating transformers. the ones that have 120v to 24volt (blue and yellow leads). now for floating can u still ground the other side? because between them u get 24v but to earth each have 12v? also one person told me if put the 2 75 va in parrallel you get double the va? 150?
so whats the differences between one having the 24 one leg then return to ground on other and these that are isolated?
UL, ETL or some other third party testing org might require it On a rare instance when I've only had one good conductor to a split system on the roof, I've hooked one side of the transformer to the lineset and used the lineset as common as the common I bet they would really frown on that, but it works
